Mar – Apr
Warm days (28–35°C), comfortable evenings. Excellent for photography — the air is clear and the dune colours are vivid. Fewer crowds than peak winter.
May – Sep
Hot days (40–48°C), but evening safaris remain comfortable once the sun drops (28–35°C at 6 PM). Prices are lower, and the desert is uncrowded. Sunrise safaris are highly recommended in summer.

👗 What to Wear
Light, breathable layers. A thin long-sleeved shirt protects against the sun without adding heat. Loose trousers are more comfortable than shorts in the vehicles. Evenings cool down — bring a light jacket October to March.
👟 Footwear
Closed shoes or trainers that you don't mind getting dusty. Sandboarding is done barefoot. Flip-flops work at camp but are terrible for the dunes themselves — avoid.
📷 Camera Tips
Shoot in RAW if you have the option — the red-to-blue colour range at sunset is enormous and raw files capture it better. Protect your lens from blowing sand with a UV filter. Phones: portrait mode in the golden hour is genuinely spectacular.

Fine Lahbab sand gets everywhere. Keep your phone in a zip-lock bag when not shooting. A waterproof/dustproof case is ideal. Charge your phone fully before departure — camp Wi-Fi is intentionally minimal.

The desert air is arid even in winter. Drink water consistently from the moment you get in the vehicle. We provide bottled water throughout the experience, but bringing a 1-litre personal bottle is always smart.
